the first week of 2007 has passed. quite eventfully i must add. last week, i started my internship.
my company specialises in public relations and marketing. however, in a bid to outmanuvere its opponents, it has started a new section. investor relations. investor relations bascially is helping companies garner more attention for their company, so that investors will invest in them.
been helping to plan for a series of investor relations events next week and my head is spilling with infomation which is taking time to digest. still got lots to call, do and manage. the folks here are nice though and i have no complaints..
last saturday (6/1/07), kumar, yc, wenjie and me played soccer again together for the first time in 2 years since our jc times. siyuan also came along and played a bit. it was fun finally playing a short match with random opponents from temasek sec. much like our old tj times where we would go straight to the hockey/netball court after school and convert it to a makeshift street soccer court. we weren't as good as compared to our tj days as we lacked training (we WERE pretty good as a futsal team then ok! of course, i am/was the keeper.) we will be doing this more regularly from now on. miss the old times. we also went to catch blood diamond at tm and i must say, its a good movie to start 07 with. catch it and watch leonardo turn in yet another excellent performance. brilliant.
got lots of plans for the new year. my resolutions i posted to the left of the blog. well, i just hope i can keep to them.
i strangely miss my ns folks, it was fun being around the nsfs in camp and even some regulars. though my new office is somewhat akin to my old office, there is no comparison. miss sib a bit. (i am weird i know)
as i embark on yet another new year, time seems to be slipping away so fast, as always. 21 this year, it has come at an almost frightening pace. i still recall quite a number of more prominent memories when i was younger and when i reflect, it scares me quite a bit.
anyway, steve jobs has announced the iPhone. Looks damn funky. go check it up on the web. would get one (if i win Toto or something, which will never happen, given my families poor luck in lucky draws)
